Cup Of Blessing vs Cup of Cursing
Cup of Blessing vs Cup of Cursing
Which Cup do you share?
The Cup of Blessing:
1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
By this verse we find out that the Cup of blessing to be shared indeed is the Cup of COMMUNION IN CHRIST.
Communion In Christ:
1 Corinthians 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
1 Corinthians 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.(die prematurely)
Christ and Communion:
Everytime Jesus mentioned things having to deal with COMMUNION between We and The Father in Heaven, he would mention how it was CIRCUMSICION OF THE HEART made without hands of a man that was important.
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Jesus here spoke of the abundance of the heart and the book of James speaks to us a great deal about how our tongue is responsible for LIFE OR DEATH in its POWER.
I am speaking about the HEART and its connection to the setting on fire of THE TONGUE via usage of THE MIND which learns and is exposed to certain principle teachings and doctrines.
Elsewhere it is written:
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Jesus also spoke to us about what truly defiled a man coming from THE HEART when confronted by the pharisees and seduces about His disciples eating with unwashed hands, and I believe this should be taken very seriously.
Matthew 15:16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
So now we know that the fleshly heard blinded by carnal desires is full of enmity towards God and the heart of SPIRITUAL Circumcision is the exact opposite.
The Tongue:
James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
So there are HEAVY ELEMENTS of Spiritualy and physically manifest proportion that come with the KIND OF CONVERSATION we keep and entertain.
Elsewhere it is written of not to be unequally yoked with non believers:
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
So with all of this in context, it must mean that we should not COMMUNE with minds/spirits of unbelief or those carnal and treacherous principles of the fleshly heart that have to do with all sorts of evil desires.
Most people have this last verse translated as to keep PHYSICAL DISTANCE and contact minimal from those who are of non belief in Christ but truly speaking it is talking about the COMMUNION and partaking of DISCERNING THE LORDS BODY.
I Hope this was indeed helpful to you!!
